Lois A. Soeurt Siler, age 91, formerly of Hancock, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at North Haven Assisted Living in Stevens Point.
She was born September 4, 1922 in Beloit, the daughter of Theodore and Hazel Lipman. She married Cornelius Soeurt, he preceded her in death in 1967. She later married George Siler, he preceded her in death in 2005.
Lois was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and the First Congregational Church of Beloit. Lois loved ducks, cats, working on the house, and gardening. She enjoyed watching the news and the Weather Channel, and traveling to visit relatives and friends.
She is survived by four daughters, Anne Meronk, Hancock, Nancy Soeurt, Beloit, Jeannette Curtis, Shreveport, LA, Elaine Hunt, New Canaan, CT; eight grandchildren, Jim Meronk, Wayne Spritka, Julia and Robert Meronk, Paige and Andrew Curtis, Connor and Carter Hunt; further survived by other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the United Church of Christ, Hancock with the Rev. Yul Kwon officiating. Burial will be in the Fish Lake Cemetery, Hancock, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church.
