Lois E. Bielmeier, age 77, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully with family by her side Saturday, July 30, 2022.
She was born March 31, 1945 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Oscar and Jessie (Lautenschlager) Herring. She married Raymond D. Bielmeier on February 19,1966 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2005.
Lois was a creative, spirited child who excelled in school and loved to dance and ride horses. After graduation she worked as a Ballroom Dance instructor for the Arthur Murray School of dance. Over the years she was able to master many different fields of employment, but her favorite place to work was with her daughter at Wild Rose Family Dentistry as a dental assistant and supply manager.
Lois was a multi-talented woman and her hobbies were many. She was an extremely accomplished seamstress, painter, photographer, upholsterer, taxidermist, cake decorator and ballroom dance instructor. Lois knew how to make the holidays bright and loved to entertain her family with her delicious cooking, baking, canning and crafts. She adored her children and grandchildren and was a teacher at heart. She spent many cherished moments with her children and grandchildren and taught them how to enjoy baking cookies, making snow angels, dancing, riding horses, ice skating and swimming. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and all who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Mark Bielmeier, Wautoma, Tracy (Paul) Paris, Neshkoro, Dr. Lynn (Eric) Momsen, Wautoma, Renee (Jerry) Gielow, West Bend; grandchildren: Jordan (Naoko) Winfery, Matthew Paris, Kelsey (Chris) Zimmermann, Julie (Stephen Beck) Paris, Andrew Momsen, Joseph Momsen, Kristal (Shawn) Stachnik, Tiffany (Adam) Breuer, Danielle Steger; great grandchildren: Tenzen, Carver, Draven, Casey, Emma, Alaina, Carter, Liam, and Leo; three sisters: Beverly Ponzer, Barbara Mohling, Linda Grefsheim; one brother: Kenneth Herring: three sisters-in-law: Irene (Darwin) Wegenke, Patricia (James) Lichtenberg; five brothers-in-law: Fred (Judith) Bielmeier, C. James “Jim” (Polly) Bielmeier, Joseph (Josephine) Bielmeier, Daniel (Jill) Bielmeier, David (Janice) Bielmeier. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: R. Floyd Herring, Norman Herring; three sisters-in-law: Doris Herring, Beverly Herring, Virginia Angst; three brothers-in-law: Evan Ponzer, Alan Grefsheim, John Angst; two nephews: Jason Angst, Steven Bielmeier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with the Rev. William Evans officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Wautoma.
Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 12 noon until the time of services.
