Lloyd Daye

July 11, 1931 — March 14, 2014

Mildred M. "Millie" Daye age 87, of Wautoma, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, as the result of an automobile accident in the Town of Dakota. Her husband, Lloyd E. Daye, age 82, died Friday evening, March 14, 2014 at Theda-Clark Medical Center, Neenah.

Mildred was born September 26, 1926 in the Town of Richford, the daughter of William and Anna (Berg) Miller. She married Lloyd E. Daye on May 1, 1954 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Richford.

Millie was a graduate of Wautoma High School and graduated Business Institute of Milwaukee. She then worked for Richardson, Reeder and Weidner Law firm in Milwaukee for 8 years until returning to Wautoma area, where she farmed with her husband for many years in the Town of Richford. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, bookkeeping and sewing. Millie was a longtime faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wautoma.

Lloyd E. Daye was born July 11, 1931 in the Town of Richford, the son of Arthur and Lillian (Bandt) Daye. He married Mildred M. "Millie" Miller on May 1, 1954 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Richford.

Lloyd and his wife farmed for many years in the Town of Richford. He was a longtime active member of Grace United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. Lloyd is fondly remembered for his many years of singing with the Good Earth Quartet.

Millie and Lloyd are survived by two children, Christine (Michael) Briesemeister, Greenville, and Robert (Lorie) Daye, Wautoma; six grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Briesemeister, DePere, Derek Briesemeister, Greenville, Brianna Daye, a student at UW-Stevens Point, and Mariah Daye, Jordan Daye, and Aaron Daye all of Wautoma; one great granddaughter, Adilyn. Lloyd is survived by his sister, Bernadine Bobholz, Cambria. Both Millie and Lloyd are further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, Norman Bobholz; and by his brother and sister-in-law, Vilas and Irene Daye

Joint funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, N2133 Southgate Terrace, Wautoma with Rev. Domnik Israel officiating. Burial will be at Richford Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church and again on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A Memorial is being established.
