Lillian Kroes, age 94, of Wautoma passed away early Sunday morning, February 17, 2013 at Wild Rose Manor.
She was born September 10, 1918 in Racine, the daughter of Frank and Rosalie (Danek) Konicek. Lillian lived and worked in Racine and later married George Kroes on October 27, 1945. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2008.
Upon her retirement in 1973, Lillian and her husband George moved to Wautoma where she became an active member in St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Wautoma Area Women's Club, St. Joseph's Council of Catholic Women and the Friends of Wautoma Public Library.
Lillian is survived by one brother-in-law, Ted Kroes of Racine, two sisters-in-law, Georgia Rapaelian of Racine and Nettie Doyle of Springfield, UT. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her four sisters, Bessie Hnilicka, Sr. M. Joanisa, Mary Orlovsky and Sr. M. Lucinda.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 11:00am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma with Rev. Robert L. Stegmann officiating. Inurnment will be held in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of services at the Church.
