LeRoy A. "Lee" Tesch passed away early Friday morning, April 29, 2011. He was born in Watertown on November 30, 1934, the son of Leonard and Anita (Mallow) Tesch. LeRoy was a 1953 graduate of Watertown High School. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1954 until 1958. He married Jacqueline (Jackie) Hirtz on October 14, 1961 in Watertown at St. John's Lutheran Church.
He worked for Prudential Insurance Company prior to moving to the Wautoma area (Mt. Morris) in 1978. He retired from Stock Lumber, formerly J.F. Warnke & Sons, Princeton in 1999. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma where he served as a service elder.
LeRoy is survived by his loving wife Jackie of 49 years; their five children; Donnalynn (special friend Mark Mielke) Tesch, Menasha; Ramona (Dan) Moore, Surprise, AZ; Glenn Tesch, Wautoma; Rebecca Tesch, Oshkosh and Jessica (Greg) Schuman, South Bend, IN; one sister, Lorraine Bartig, Eau Claire; one brother, Gene (Susie) Tesch, Watertown; ten grandchildren; Sarah (Brett) Franz, Bryan (Brooke) Utley, Jared Utley, Emily Tesch, Jennifer (Ben) Samuels, Robert, Michael and Nichelle Moore, Molly and Leah Schuman, nine great-grandchildren, Aaron, Kassidy and Kaylie Franz, Autumn Utley, Amanda, Emily and Hannah Samuels, Kenny and Kiera Moore; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert Tesch, two sisters Anita Karnitz and Myrtle Kephart; brothers-in-law, Meredith Kephart, Donald Karnitz, James Bartig and William Mewis, one nephew Jeffery Tesch and one grand-niece Alanna Thake.
A Memorial Service for Mr. LeRoy A. Tesch will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11:00am in Peace Lutheran Church, Wautoma with Rev. Roger Riedel officiating.
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of services at the Church.
Inurnment will take place at Wautoma Union Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church, Agnesian Hospice Care and The Michael Wachtel Cancer Center.
