Lawrence G. Vranesh, age 68, of Wautoma, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 18, 1942 in Eagle River, the son of George and Rose (Zedlar) Vranesh. He married Esther R. Vugrince on May 29, 1965. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2008. Lawrence farmed in the town of Dakota for many years and was employed as an over-the-road truck driver. He is survived by two children, Samuel Vranesh, Coloma, and Bonnie (Bruce) Woodliff, Redgranite; two granddaughters, Jennifer "Ruggee" Vranesh, Wautoma, Missy Below, Wautoma; two great grandchildren, Alexandria and Lawrence; his "adopted daughter", Kathy Sickles, Wautoma; two brothers, Pete Vranesh and Tom Vranesh, both of Illinois. He is further survived by his aunt, Mary Rogers, Sparta, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma. Burial will be in Dakota Cemetery, Township of Dakota. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
