Lauraine Raatz

Lauraine L. Raatz, age 98 of Wautoma passed away Monday morning, September 16, 2013 at Berlin memorial Hospital. She was born at home in the Town of Wautoma on September 17, 1914 the daughter of Arthur F. and Ida L. (Schluter) Sauerbrei. Lauraine married Richard F. Raatz on January 14, 1931 in Wautoma. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1992. Lauraine and her husband Richard lived and farmed for 58 years outside of Wautoma.

Lauraine is survived by six of her of her seven children: Jerry Raatz, Ft. Myers, FL, Jean Johannes, Oshkosh, Janice Dumonson, Minocqua, William (Shari) Raatz, Edgar, Thomas Raatz, Redgranite, Judith (Gary) Oleson, Reno, NV; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren; sister: Pearl Muske, Wautoma; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Richard F. Raatz; son: James D. Raatz and son-in-law: Frank Johannes.

Funeral services will be held for Lauraine L. Raatz on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 11AM at Peace Lutheran Church, Wautoma with Rev. Roger G. Riedel officiating. Burial will follow in the Wautoma Union Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at church from 9:30AM until the time of service at 11AM
