Kenneth "Ken" Obydine

Kenneth John Obydine died August 23, 2018, in Wautoma, WI, at the age of 76.  Born July 12, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI, Ken graduated from West Allis Central High School.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Bay of Pigs invasion aboard the USS Wasp (CVS-18) aircraft carrier.  Throughout his lifetime he worked in sales and antiquities.   Ken enjoyed spending time with family, collecting and refinishing antiques, and cooking.  He leaves behind cherished memories that will be held in heart by his beloved life partner of 38 years, Sheila Traister; his two daughters, Toni Lester and Karrie Hansotia; his two sons, Steve (Trina) Obydine and Michael Obydine; his grandson, Alex Lester; and his dear friend, Shari Thurley.  Ken will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a kind and gentle soul, a humorist, and a loving father.   He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph (Jingles) and Jean Obydine, nee Sobolewski.

The funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 14, 2018, in the Pavilion at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King , WI.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Green Lake Area Animal Shelter at N6217 Busse Drive, Greenlake, WI  54941 or online at www.glaas.org.
