Kenneth "Ken" Andrew Scott, age 62 of Berlin, died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack on Saturday, October 1, 2016, while duck hunting. He was born on July 8, 1954 in Appleton to Kenneth and Florence (Stygar) Scott. Ken worked as an electrician at Kimberly Clark from 1972 until retirement in 2013. On December 20, 2003 he married Loie Ann Shingler in San Antonio, TX. He was a faithful member of Waushara Community Church where he served as a Deacon and also did missionary work in British Columbia. Ken was a very avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed deer, bear, pheasant, goose, and duck hunting, and both, fresh and saltwater fishing. He also enjoyed planting trees on their land in Green Lake and wintering in Florida. However, It has been said that he even split up a warm Florida vacation with his wife to return to the cold waters of Wisconsin to go Sturgeon Spearing. Ken also loved watching the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and Bucks. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 13 years: Loie Scott; step sons: Mark (Julie) Daniels, Chris Hesse; grandchildren: Phillip Raney, Colin, Alyssa and Chace Daniels; step father: Bud Carpenter; brothers: John (Dorothy) Scott, Joseph (Sharon) Scott; sisters: Linda (John) Sarnowski, Sandy (Gary) Nelson; brothers-in-law: Ken (Robyn) Shingler, Charlie (Darlene) Shingler, Mark (Judy) Shingler; sisters-in-law: Janet (Lee) Lehrer, Karen (Richard) Ziegert; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew: Nathan Scott.
Memorial service was held at 12PM (NOON) on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Waushara Community Church, Wautoma. Officiating at the service was Pastor Al Spitler with burial at a later date at Rushford Cemetery, Omro. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM (NOON).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Ken's name.
