Keith Lynn Otis, age 84, passed away in Lakeland, FL on May 12, 2018. He was born to the late Leon and Ione Otis on November 20, 1933 in Lansing, MI.
Keith was involved in sales his whole life. For decades he represented Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners, helping countless people improve their symptoms of asthma or other respiratory conditions. At one point in his career Keith held a key regional position with the company. In the most recent years, Keith was a proponent of the Federal Manufactured Home Owners of Florida, Inc. (FMO), and was often seen walking the streets of Mas Verde Mobile Home Park carrying his black binder. He was an active Kiwanis member for many decades. Keith enjoyed splitting his retirement years between Florida and Wisconsin. He loved to play golf and travel with friends and family, and was a very spiritual man.
Keith is survived by his life partner, Anne Timmel; children, Dana (Karen) Otis of DuPont, WA, Dawn (Harvey Champlin) Dyer of Ventura, CA, David “Chip” (Deborah) Otis of Lansing, MI; stepdaughter, Rebecca Schreier of Madison, WI; brother, Dr. Carroll Otis of Lansing, MI; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two nieces, and one nephew.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Onalee Shirk of San Diego, CA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 301 E. Mt. Morris Ave, Wautoma, WI on July 21, 2018. Visiting hours will be from 9:30- 11am, service will begin at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Keith’s memory to the Berlin Kiwanis, 571 Center St, Berlin, Wisconsin; River Shores Church, Berlin, WI or Hope Lutheran Church, Wautoma, WI.
