Kathleen Semrow

Kathleen Rose Semrow, age 72 of Hancock passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at her home with her family by her side after a short battle with cancer. She was born on June 9, 1948 in Portage to Gerald and Eleanor (Byers) Phillips. She graduated from Adams Friendship High School with the Class of 1966. On April 16, 1966 she married Thomas J. Semrow at St. Paul Church in Coloma. Kathleen worked as a Secretary for many years and before retirement, Thomas and Kathleen managed Coons Deep Lake CampGround, Oxford for many years. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Love and compassion was one of her greatest gifts to her family. She enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with her family. Kathleen was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 54 years: Thomas Semrow; children: Peggy (Dale) Brownlow, Connie (Robert) Reed, Jamie (Mollie) Semrow; grandchildren: Amber (Rich) Gohlke, Calvin (Haley) Brownlow, Travis (Faith) Brownlow, Taylor (Cori) Brownlow, Violet Semrow; great grandchildren: Noah, Jack, Jada, Cameron, Landon, Zoey, Connor, Ripp, Braedyn, little Taylor; her favorite fur babies: Cassie and Toby; brothers: Danny (Kathy) Phillips, Donny (Debbra) Phillips; sister: Rosemary (Tommy) Marrero; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Donna (John) Semrow, Danny (Ann) Semrow, Debra (Randy) Kazmer, Mike (Sarah) Semrow; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. She was preceded by her parents; brother: Gary Phillips, father-in-law and mother-in-law; brothers-in-law: Terry Semrow, David Semrow and Ted Semrow and nephew: Matt Grupe.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society in Kathleen’s name. Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma is assisting the family with arrangements. www.leiknessfuneralhome.com
