Kathleen L. "Kathy" Polack, age 69, of Neshkoro, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at UW Hospital in Madison surrounded by her family.
She was born in Milwaukee on August 4, 1944, the daughter of James and Ruth Guy. She graduated from Racine Horlick High School in 1962 and was an avid equestrian. She married John B. Polack on September 19, 1963. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2007.
Kathy was an administrative secretary in the Racine School District for 16 years and she then worked for Brakebush Brothers in Westfield in the Human Resources Department. Kathy enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to engage in challenging games of Yahtzee and cards with family members. Kathy was a devoted and faithful member of the People's Church in Montello for many years and was an active and regular member at the Neshkoro Senior's Club.
She is survived by her four sons, John Polack, Jeff (Theresa) Polack, Jay Polack & James Polack; her grandchildren, Becky, Mathew, Justin, Carol Ann, Logan, Jamie, Cameron, Cheyenne, Sarah and Kyle. She is further survived by her brother Merle (Joyce) Guy, sister Shirley Briney, special niece Tammy Wendt, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A Memorial Service to honor Kathy will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00am in the People's Church, Montello with Rev. J. Mark Hensley officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of services at the Church.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the medical and nursing staff at UW Hospital Neurology ICU for the loving care and attention to their mother.
