Katherine E. Petzold, age 91, formerly of Wautoma and Brown Deer, passed away Sunday afternoon, Oct. 28, 2012 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston, WI. She was born April 9, 1921 in Milwaukee, the daughter of William and Luella (Ansel) Burnham. She married Siegfried Petzold on Feb. 4, 1939 in Milwaukee. He pre ceded her in death on Feb. 29, 1999. Katherine and her late husband resided in Brown Deer for many years. Following her husband's death in 1999, she moved to Wautoma. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and trips to the casino. Katherine belonged to the Elks Club, Woman's Auxiliary, and the Emblem Club. She is survived by three children, James Petzold, Hot Springs, Arkansas, Clarence (Hilda) Petzold, Eagle River, Barbara Schocker (Don Budleski), Hatley; 12 grandhcildren; 25 great grand- children; three great great grandchildren. She is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Grulke; two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with the Rev. Nathan A. Gauerke officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Milwaukee.
