Karen Mae Thomsen, age 63, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, May 2, 2013 at her home in Neshkoro.
Karen was born on July 29, 1949 in Hustisford, WI to Walter and Geraldine Thomsen. Karen enjoyed long walks with her dogs, spending time with her family and preparing gourmet meals. She was an excellent cook. She loved the outdoors and was passionate about nature and Mother Earth. In springtime she took great pleasure watching the lilacs bloom at her home, Lilac Valley Farm.
Karen is survived by her parents: Roy and Geraldine Nance; friend and soulmate: Jerry Mastricola; one daughter: Lisa (Ron) Zamzow, one son: Micheal (Tammy) Waltenberry; grandchildren: Robert, Bret, Damien, Micheal, Abigail, Anna, Rosemary and Violet Mae; one great-grandchild: Lilith; sisters: Sandy (Don) Thiem and Joy (Larry) Larson; brothers: Walter (Lynn) Thomsen, Russ (Polly) Thomsen and Bill Thomsen, and many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her dad: Walter Thomsen, and her sister: Valerie Thomsen, as well as her beloved Springer Spaniel: Jude.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
