Judith A. "Judy" Kohn, age 76, of the Town of Crystal Lake, rural Wautoma, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at her residence.
She was born January 25, 1938 in Columbus, the daughter of George "Jack" and Lucille (Miller) Soldner. She married Neil R. Kohn on August 8, 1959 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Reeseville.
Judy graduated from Juneau High School in 1955, and attended Columbia School of Nursing in Milwaukee. She was employed as a Legal Secretary and Title Insurance Agent. Judy served as secretary of the Crystal Lake Club for over 30 years. She was a skilled seamstress and quilt maker. Judy will be fondly remembered as an accomplished hostess and gourmet cook.
She is survived by her husband, Neil R. Kohn, Wautoma; one son, Michael (Kathy) Kohn, Neshkoro; one brother, Michael (Sue) Soldner, Buffalo, MN; one sister, Candace (Terry) Benter, Milwaukee. She is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, a great grandnephew, other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George "Buzzy" Soldner; one sister, Jill Soldner; and by a brother-in-law, Norman Kohn.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Rev. Eric L. Hambrock officiating.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
