Juan Arce "Choco" Garcia, age 70, of Plainfield, passed away Thursday morning, March 12, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison.
Mr. Garcia was born October 16, 1943 in San Benito, Texas the son of Juan and Hilaria (Arce) Garcia. He married Juanita Herrera on May 15, 1962.
Juan was employed at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point as a custodian for many years. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Garcia; his children, Christina (Juan) Uribe, Juan Garcia III, Lydia (John) Newby, Rosalinda (Shawn) Wilkes, all of Plainfield, Jose A. (Yvonne) Garcia, Sioux Falls, SD., Steven Garcia, Plainfield, Jesse (Darcie) Garcia, Almond; his grandchildren, Olivia, John and James Uribe, Brittany and Isaiah Garcia, Janelle and Kayla Newby, Krissy and Alex Wilkes, Joe, Mallory and Alayna Garcia, Hannah Garcia and Christian Pike, Austin, Dylan and Brianna Garcia; three sisters, Naomi (Gilbert) Diaz, Mary (Daniel) Andrade, Elizabeth King; one brother, Reyes Garcia; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the Plainfield Assembly of God. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church.
