Joyce M. Kalata, age 83, of Spring Lake, passed away Friday evening, November 30, 2018 at her home.
She was born November 17, 1935 in Waupaca the daughter of Lester and Dorena Bonnell. She married Ronald C. Kalata on April 16, 1955 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Plainfield. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2018.
Joyce is survived by five children, Randy (Debbie) Kalata, Almond, Debbie (Paul) Weiss, Wautoma, Ricky Kalata, Spring Lake, Tish (Steve) Kemps, Almond, Karen (Steve Rothermel) Kalata, Town of Rome; grandchildren, Mark (Dawn) Kalata, Tyler (Leah) Kalata, Jason (fiancée Jenna Rompelman) Weiss, Aimee (Bud) Simenson, Joel (Rachel) Kalata, Jamie (Jesse Anderson) Kemps, Julie (Derek) Suhr, and Jen Weiss; 11 great grandchildren, Tegan, Celia, Zachary, Samuel, Jody, Peyton, Landon, Seth, Brody, Liam, and Laython; one sister-in-law, Dorothy (the late Arden) Bonnell; one brother-in-law, Richard (Donna) Kalata; special friends, Joe and Bruce. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Dewey Bonnell, LaVerne (Mae) Bonnell, Kenneth (Marge) Bonnell, Arden Bonnell, Leon Bonnell, and Allen Bonnell.
Per Joyce’s wishes, private family services will be held. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Lakeside Cemetery in Waupaca.
