With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Josslyn Marie Kuehn, affectionately known as Ja-Ja. Born on December 22, 2022, in Waupaca, Wisconsin, Josslyn graced our lives for two beautiful years, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends. She took her last breath on April 2, 2025, in Wausau, Wisconsin, where she will forever be remembered for her vibrant spirit and infectious joy.
Josslyn was a bright light, known for her striking smile and goofy antics that could brighten even the darkest day. Her adventurous nature and insatiable curiosity brought her into all kinds of fun mischief, delighting those around her. From joyous bath time splashes to her playful dances, Josslyn truly lived life with exuberance. She adored her favorite shows, including Bluey and Mrs. Rachel, and her face would light up with pure joy at the sight of her beloved bananas, strawberries, and Johnny Pops.
A shy yet affectionate soul, Josslyn would often cover her face with her tiny hands, peeking out with a smile that warmed the hearts of everyone she encountered. Her love for animals was immense, showcasing her kind heart and gentle spirit. Even at her young age, Josslyn expressed herself through words like “kitty,” “mum,” “puppy,” and a few delightful others, leaving us all eager to hear more from her.
Josslyn will be profoundly missed by her parents, Jessica Pagenkopf and Samuel Kuehn. She also leaves behind her loving aunt, Jennifer Rios, and uncle Jason Rios, along with her cousins, Melany Stark, Ashton Stark, Luvaya Rios, Rylan Rios, Haylee Rios and Ashlyn Rios who were always excited to share in her adventures. Her grandparents, James and Karis Pagenkopf, and her aunt Lila Pagenkopf and Uncle Steven Pagenkopf, they will continue to hold her memories dear.
Though Josslyn's time with us was far too brief, her love will resonate through all who knew her, forever reminding us of the joy and laughter she shared. In our memories, she dances, plays, and gives hugs and kisses, a testament to the beautiful spirit she was—full of love for everyone and everything. While we mourn her departure, we celebrate the joys she brought into our lives and the love that will never fade. We take solace in knowing that she is now reunited with her great-grandmother, Charlotte Pagenkopf, watching over us from above.
