John R. Gibson, age 82, of rural Wild Rose, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at his home. He was born November 4, 1932 in Paragould, Arkansas the son of Raymond and Maxine (Elmore) Gibson. He married Jacqueline Gutschow on September 1, 1951 in Milwaukee. John was employed as a semi driver by Foreway Express of Milwaukee for 30 years. He and his wife resided in Milwaukee for many years before moving to the Town of Mount Morris in 1992. John loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a faithful member of Waushara Community Church and Waushara/Wautoma Senior Citizens. He is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Gibson, Wild Rose; three children, Judith M. (Fred) Knapp, Oak Creek, James M. Gibson, Wild Rose, Jill T. Gibson, Oshkosh; eight grandchildren, Scott (Lindsey) Knapp, Rebecca Knapp, Lori Beth (Alan) Isola, Susan (Tony) Balboa, Kristy (Kevin) Kempen, Tracey (Ron Dillard) Patterson, Andy (Tess) Patterson, Timothy Patterson; 20 great grandchildren; seven siblings, Jimmy C. (Pat) Gibson, Max E. (Ardell) Gibson, Harry C. (Polly) Gibson, Anna C. (the late Macon) Huckaby, Glenn D. (Carolyn) Gibson, Tony M. (Linda) Gibson, Howard R. (Jeannie) Gibson. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by two brothers, Jeff D. Gibson and Phillip W. Gibson. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Waushara Community Church in Wautoma with the Rev. R. Alan Spitler officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established for Waushara Community Church or Waushara/Wautoma Senior Center.
