Jerome Lee Erdman, age 53 of Wautoma passed away on December 18, 2019 at 7:43PM at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago surrounded by family and loved ones. His passing came as a surprise but he was not alone. The local legend will be remembered for his kind heart and unique character. He loved hunting, fishing, and the wind blowing through his hair on the motorcycle. Known by many as “The Rock God” for his exceptional masonry skills is going to be sorely missed.
A life not wasted, Jerome experienced a path of love, excitement and drama. He loved to get people riled up but would go out of his way to help anyone that needed it. He was a pillar in many lives, never short on friends or people that loved him. Through his hobbies of softball, pool league and hunting, he was known by almost everyone in the local and surrounding areas.
Jerome’s legacy will be carried on by his sons: Tyler Erdman, Connor Bjerke; brother: Jon Erdman; nieces: Nicole, Julia, Andrea Erdman; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12PM (NOON) on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 10AM until the time of Mass at 12PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated.
