Gerald Albert Kress

Gerald Albert Kress , age 86 of Menomonee Falls died on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. He was born on December 30, 1936 in Milwaukee to Nicholas and Dorothy (Schieffer) Kress. On June 7, 1958 he married Nancy Rich in Milwaukee at Christ King Catholic Church. Gerald worked at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in the pressroom as a Foreman until his retirement in 1995. Jerry and Nancy built their dream retirement home on a 40-acre parcel of land purchased in 1969.  He pursued his love of the outdoors through his membership with the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association. He also enjoyed raising show and racing pigeons with the Montello Racing Pigeon Club along with gardening, fishing and hunting.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife: Nancy Kress; children: Lawrence Kress, Jeffrey (Katherine) Kress, Linda Kress, Robert (Debbie) Kress; grandchildren: Stephanie (Alex), Shauna, Samara, Taylor, Nina, Ian; great grandchildren: Hailey, Reid, Maelyn, Wyatt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Germaine (Richard) May.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma with burial to follow in North Deerfield Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM.
