Jeanne Kay Hansen passed away peacefully due to a year and nine month's fight with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at her home in Saratoga.
Jeanne (Pichelmann) and Ken Hansen were married in Kellner, on August 23, 1975. She lived a loving life surrounded by her family and friends. Her sense of humor, love of reading and belief that everyone has good intentions brought love and happiness to others in her life.
Jeanne graduated from Tri-County High School in 1974 and worked for 31 years at Domtar in the print shop. When the mill closed she earned her associate degree, in Administrative Assistant, from Mid-State Technical College. She then was employed at Riverview Hospital. Jeanne was a member of the Rollin Thunder Rodders Car Club. The family would like thank all her co-workers for all of their support and caring thoughts.
She was born August 10, 1956 at Wisconsin Rapids, to Donna (Allison) Pichelmann and Raymond Pichelmann.
She is survived by and lovingly missed by her husband Ken; her daughter Ciji, Appleton, WI, and son Cody (fiancée Amanda), and grandson Oakley, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; parents: Donna and Raymond Pichelmann, Bancroft, WI; Father-in-law: Merl Hansen, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; siblings: Kathy Hanley, Schertz, TX, Sherry Cunningham (Tom) North Freedom, WI; Mike Pichelmann, Stillman Valley, IL; Mary Pichelmann, Stevens Point, WI; Diane Pichelmann-Sutherland (Rick), Nekoosa, WI; in-laws: Brenda Gerard (Dennis), Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Keith Hansen (Janet), Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Kevin Hansen (Penny), Lenexa, KS; Barb Challoner (Wayne), Copper Center, AK, and Kevin Garrigan, Nekoosa, WI; and nieces and nephews and their spouses.
She was preceded in death by one sister: Terri Pichelmann; in-laws, Joyce Hansen (Mother-in law); Daryl Hanley, II, and Bonnie Garrigan.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Nekoosa Community Center. Visitation will be held from 1:00-7:00 p.m. Food and refreshments will also be available.
In lieu of flowers, a donation will be given to Ministry Home Care of Marshfield & Wisconsin Rapids. The family would like to thank Ministry Home Care for the wonderful care given Jeanne these past two months.
