Jean Russ, age 91, of Wautoma, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 9, 2012 at Harbor Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Fond du Lac.
She was born June 9, 1921 at Conrath, WI, the daughter of
Julius and Veronica (Nedzwiadek) Szumeda. She married
Louis F. Russ on June 9, 1941 at Wausaukee, WI. He preceded
her in death on July 25, 1989.
She is survived by one daughter, Doris Gilmore, Beaver Dam; five grandchildren, Dan Gilmore, Beaver Dam, Debra Muench, Franklin, Dawn Gilmore-Trapp, Beaver Dam, Denise Gilmore, Columbus, Rob Russ (Jacinda Grefe) Fountain City; seven great- grandchildren; one sister, Florence "Flo" Horn, Champlin, MN; her daughter-in-law, Roberta Russ, Beaver Dam. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Don Russ; one grandson, Donnie Russ; one great grandson, Jacob;
two brothers, three sisters, and by her son-in-law, David Gilmore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with the Rev. Robert L. Stegmann officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wautoma.
Visitation will be held at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
