Jean H. Burant, age 80, formerly of Neshkoro, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyoming.
She was born October 13, 1932 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Herbert and Myrtle (Does) Kobs. She married Ervin M. Burant on August 11, 1955 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2001.
She and her late husband resided in Milwaukee for many years before moving to Hidden Springs Lake, rural Neshkoro. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma, Neshkoro Lioness Club and the Neshkoro VFW Auxiliary. Jean served as advisor for the Neshkoro Youth Leo Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Leandro) Alzalde, Wauwatosa and Terry Burant, Laramie, WY; grandchildren, Veronica (Dave) Wells, Alex Alzalde (Angelina Corona), Sarah Alzalde, and Andrea Alzalde; one great grandson, Marco Corona Alzalde; one sister, Marjorie (Morgan) White, Delray Beach, FL. She is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, by her brother, Robert Kobs, and most recently by her faithful companion William Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma with Rev. Sarah Timian officiating. Burial will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
