Jay Peterson

Jay Christian Peterson, age 73 of Coloma, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at home. He was born on July 12, 1945 in Wild Rose to Harold and Elsie (Baier) Peterson. Jay served in the U.S Army and was deployed to Vietnam. On August 3, 1968 he married Theresa “Susie” Butzin. Jay worked as a Millwright, Carpenter and Farmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Jay is survived by his wife: Theresa “Susie” Peterson; children: Erick (Michelle) Peterson, Jason Peterson, Daniel Peterson, Emmy Peterson, Susanne Peterson, Marsy Peterson, Ashley (Jeremy) Grimmenga; 11 grandchildren; sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Steven Peterson and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Coloma with burial and military honors to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 9AM until the time of services at 11AM.
