James "Jim" Kowalewski

James “Jim” J. Kowalewski, age 77 of Wautoma, died suddenly on Friday, January 12, 2018 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton. He was born on February 3, 1940 in Milwaukee to Martin and Monica (Weronke) Kowalewski. On September 26, 1959 he married Carol Gehrke at St. Casmir Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Jim was self-employed and worked with his sons installing drywall. He enjoyed deer hunting, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandchildren. Jim will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Jim is survived by his daughter: Janet Becker; sons: Dale, Shawn (Rosie), Michael, Timothy (Grace); grandchildren: Kristie (Joe) Reichard, Kimberly and Kelsey Becker, Kayla, Gilbert, Rachel and Benjamin Kowalewski; sister: Tina Kolinski; brother: Ron (Sharon) Kowalewski; sister-in-law: Mary Beth Kowalewski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Carol Kowalewski; granddaughter: Marissa; sister: Joan Kolinski; brother: Jerry Kowalewski; son-in-law: Robert Becker; nephews: Marty, Dirk and Doug Kowalewski and brothers-in-law: Martin and Jerry Kolinski.

Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 4-6 PM at Leikness Funeral Home Wautoma.
