James W. Konieczki, age 80, of Wautoma, passed away unexpectedly, February 27, 2011 at his home.
He was born September 4, 1930 in Stevens Point, the son of Steve Konieczki and Margaret Hamm. He married Theresa C. Zoromski on May 7, 1952 in Stevens Point. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2010.
Mr. Konieczki served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Jim owned Main Street TV & Appliance in Wautoma for many years and also worked at Speed Queen until his retirement.
Mr. Konieczki was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers. Jim loved the outdoors especially fishing on Big Silver Lake, feeding the baby fox that lived behind his house and spending time entertaining family and friends. Jim always took time out of day to call his children and grandchildren to talk.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Helen Klismet and Mary Larson and two brothers, Don Kons and Robert Konieczki.
He is survived by his five children, Debra (Emmit) West, Diane (Bernie) Biesek, Karen (Jeff) Polfuss, Donna (Don) Krempleski and Mike (Angie) Konieczki, all of Wautoma; 12 grandchildren, Harvey and Brian West, Nathan (Mary) Biesek, Jered and Jenny Biesek, Niki (Scott) Hill, Megan (John-Aaron) Zelienka, Cami Polfuss, all of Wautoma, Kristin (Adam) Reichold, Hawaii, Kelly Krempleski, Jordan and Leah Konieczki, all of Wautoma; one great grandchild, Kaden Hill, Wautoma; his brother, Rhody Konieczki, Jump River; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
