Ingrid Wagner, Wautoma, formerly of Waupaca, devoted wife, and loving mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, was called home to heaven December 23, 2011. Ingrid Maria Andersson was born May 11, 1924 in Arvika, Sweden. She, her mother, and three sisters immigrated and arrived in the United States on August 20, 1929. They joined their father in Chicago, IL on September 1, 1929. Ingrid met Marvin Wagner, Sr. at a Dutch hop dance and were married on August 29, 1981. Ingrid worked at Meredith's dress shop, Waupaca, for over 30 years. She loved working at the dress shop and worked at the shop to the day the store closed. She loved to cook, bake, and entertain family and friends. Swedish pancakes, Swedish meatloaf, spritz cookies, ginger snaps, and cowboy cookies are a few of the "snacks" for which she will be remembered. She had a smile for everyone she met. Ingrid loved her husband and family dearly. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Marv; children Cynthia (Joe) Schumacher, Paul (Jacki) Schaafsma, Sherry (Greg) Yost, Marvin (Carol) Wagner, Jr., Jim Wagner, Vern (Renee) Wagner, Kathy (Cliff) Finn, Danny (Celia) Wagner; grand- children, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; sister-in-law Cora Shanahan; sister-in-law Irene Daye; friends Bob & Bev Whitman, Bob Handrich, Ms. Ramona Handrich, longtime friends from Meredith's, Marvin & Donna Schultz; and the community of Silver Lake Manor. Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Greta Pfleiger, Elna Young, and Margaret Turner; brother-in-laws Vilas Daye and Bill Wagner; and longtime friends, Rosella Stenbergand Arlene Grenlie. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma with Rev. Rick Engen officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Township of Crystal Lake, Marquette County. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
