Howard L. Williams, age 83, of rural Hancock, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield.
He was born July 3, 1928 in Janesville, the son of Louis and Edith (Richel) Williams. He married Joan M. Steiner on April 19, 1958.
Howard farmed most his life in the Township of Colburn where he owned and operated H&J Williams Farms since 1958. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Joan M. Williams, Hancock; his second love, his canine companion Sassy; his children, Larry (Rita) Williams, Lori (Rick) Beggs, Randy (Emma) Williams, Christy (John) Nelson; his loving grandchildren, Chad (Nicki) Williams, Casey Olson, Jami (Keith) West, Lacee (Chris) Griffin, Ashley (fiance' Bobby Sanborn) Williams, Tauren Beggs; great-grandchildren, Kailyn and Mia West, Baylee Williams, Brelee Olson, Ethan West; a sister, Cornelia Leach; a special friend Lewis Holmes II; other relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence Williams, Leo Williams and Marvin Williams.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. A memorial has been established.
