Helen Lee

Helen Marie Lee, age 90, formerly of Madison and Wautoma, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Evansville Manor with her family by her side. She was born on April 7, 1923 in Chicago, IL to James F. and Mary (Dolejs) Cermak. On August 16, 1947 she married Laurence "Mud" Lee at LaGrange, IL. Helen and Mud owned and operated Lee's Roto-Rooter from 1948 to 1986. Helen helped with the business but most importantly was a mother, not just to her three children but to all the employees and all the kids that lived close by. She was a member of the Waushara Country Club, Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club and American Legion Auxiliary. Helen enjoyed fishing, crane counting, polka music, brandy manhattans and loved the sound of coins going in or out of the slot machine.



Helen is survived by her three children: Randolph Duane Lee, Terra L. (Stephan) Herale, Douglas M. (Lynnette) Lee; two grandchildren: Laurence Wayne Lee, Sierra Marie Herale; brother-in-law: Wayne C. Lee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Mud Lee; sisters; Emma, Eleanor, Marian and brothers: Anton, James, George and Frank.



Funeral service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Blaine O. Niskanen with burial to follow in Richford Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM.
