Harvey H. Gaatz, age 95, of Wautoma, passed away Wednesday evening, Feb. 1, 2012 at the Wild Rose Manor. He was born Nov. 12, 1916 in the Town of Richford, the son of Henry and Ida (Zellmer) Gaatz. He married Phyllis P. Pfeil on Aug. 2, 1936 in Ripon. Harvey farmed the family homestead in the Town of Richford for many years. Later, he worked at Speed Queen until his retirement. Harvey was a 76 year member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Gaatz, Wautoma; two sons, Dellos (Joan) Gaatz, Redgranite, Terry (Linda) Gaatz, Wautoma; seven grandsons, David (Shelly) Gaatz, Bryan Gaatz, Michael (Sara) Gaatz, Patrick Gaatz, all of Milwaukee, Jason Gaatz, Wautoma, Jeremy Gaatz, Chicago, Joshua Gaatz, Wautoma; six great grandchildren, all of Milwaukee; two nephews, Dr. David (Beth) Stelter, Wautoma, and Duane Stelter, Wautoma; special friends, John and Dolores Broadway, Mukwonago, his canine companion, Mandy Mae. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Clara (Tom) Stelter; one nephew, Dale Stelter. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma with Rev. Gregory D. Hyatt officiating. Burial will be at Wautoma Union Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until
the time of services.
