Harriett Klemm

September 15, 1940 — June 1, 2019

Harriett Darlene (Vaughan) Klemm age 78, was born to Esther (Hedtke) and Dean Vaughan on September 15th 1940 in New London, WI.  In the early morning surrounded by loved ones, she was called home by the Lord on June 1st 2019.  She graduated from Little Wolf High School at the top of her class and then married her high school sweetheart June 6th 1959.   They joyfully raised 5 children and became prominent members of the Manawa community.  She spent her life giving to others.  She was a volunteer firefighter for 38 years and an EMT for nearly 20. The community knew her as the doctor's right hand at the Manawa Clinic for almost 30 years. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church her entire life.  She volunteered at the Manawa schools, as well as at sporting events and the Manawa rodeo. She was a charter member of Jaycettes.

Harriet is survived by her husband William, children Wm Todd, Brenda (Brian) Busby, Stephanie (Chris) Webb, Kelly (Brenda), Kory (Fawn), Grandchildren Lauren (Ryan), Amy, Ashleigh (Jake), Thomas, Paige, Maria, Hanna (Andy), Haley, Josh, Colten, Kevin, Rachel, Joey and 13 great grandchildren.She is further survived by brothers and sisters Geraldine Detert, Dianne Vaughan, Sandra Vaughan, Roland and Jan Klemm, Kathy and Ken Mortensen, Daniel Pomeroy and Cynthia Levezow as well as her Zion family and her fire department family and many other family members and friends. Harriett was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law Ervin and Edna Klemm, son Kevin Klemm, brothers and sisters Bertha and Richard Ernst, Beverly and Richard Mykel, Lois and Robert McKay, Clinton Vaughan, Francis Vaughan, Lawrence Detert, Barbara and Gene Forsythe, Rev. Keith Klemm, Sherry Pomeroy, Mark Levezow.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Goedderz and the Thedacare Hospice Staff especially Paula and Julie for their kind and compassionate care.

Services will be Sunday June 9th at 1 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Manawa with a Celebration of Life and "Ice Cream Hour" following at Cedar Springs Golf Course also in Manawa.
