Harold Reetz

December 14, 1919 — July 5, 2010

Harold Edward Reetz, age 90, of Neshkoro, passed away early Monday morning, July 5, 2010, at Berlin Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1919 in Neshkoro, the son of John E. and Lena (Henke) Reetz. Harold was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Neshkoro. He married Frieda Gramse on May 31, 1941. Harold farmed for a number of years prior to working at Speed Queen Corp., Ripon. He was employed at Speed Queen for 36 years retiring in 1983. He was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro where he served as an
elder. Harold enjoyed helping his sons along with hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frieda Reetz; five sons, Ronald (Sandra) Reetz, Dennis (Patsy) Reetz, Robert (Barbara) Reetz, Norlin (Colleen) Reetz,
all of Neshkoro, Keith (Kim) Reetz, Oshkosh; 13 grandchildren, Shawn, Lonnie, Jody, Shannon, Tammy, Jessica, Lisa, Annette, Jason, Nicholas, Dereck, James, and Logan; three step-grandchildren, Charissa, Priscilla, Amber; 18 great-grandchildren; Zachary, Jayson, Alexis, Ashley, Joshua, Alexis, Austin, Hunter, Tahya, Mya, Hailey, Alyssa, Savannah, Madalyn, Leah, Collin, Taylor and Connor; one sister, Caroline Krueger, Neshkoro; sister-in-law, Alice Reetz, Neshkoro; brother-in-law, Harry (Elaine) Gramse, Wautoma; He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Herbert (Elaine) Reetz, Russell (Elberta) Reetz, and Milton Reetz; a brother-in-law, Arnold Krueger; a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Edgar) Buchholz. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro with the Rev. Franklin Giebel officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma on Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
