In celebration of the sunrise and sunset of Gordon E. "Gordy" Buschke, age 67, of Wautoma, who was taken from his family and friends way too soon by a heart attack on Sunday, July 8, 2012.
He was born May 22, 1945 in Adams, the son of Eldon and Muriel (Crowe) Buschke. Gordy graduated in 1963 from Wautoma High School. He later enlisted in the Army in 1965 and was stationed in Germany until 1967. Gordy met Beverly "Pinky" Monty in 1969 and married October 17, 1970 in Bear Creek, Wisconsin. Gordy worked at Morgan Doors in Oshkosh for 22 years and retired from Albany International in Menasha in 2010 after 17 years. He loved anything outdoors especially; hunting, fishing, gardening and metal detecting. He enjoyed his casino runs with his wife and good friends. Anyone who knew Gordy knew he brought new meaning to the phrase "one man's trash is another man's treasure." Upon his retirement, he developed a love of watching the Brewers and attending the games with his son and grandson whenever he could. He cherished spending time with his kids, grandkids and great-granddaughter and loved them dearly. Gordy was a kind man and had a way of leaving an impression on everyone he met.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 42 years, Beverly; daughters, Angela, Corrin and Cassee; son, Chip (Kristin); grandchildren, Jason, Halie, Kinsey, Hunter and Harper; great-granddaughter, Delaney; brother, Duane (Lynn); sister, Diane (Steve) Sommers and many special friends and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary and respected uncle, Gordon "Unc".
