Gerald Reimer

Gerald R. "Jerry" Reimer, age 79, of Wautoma, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his home. He was born March 17, 1934 in Milwaukee, the son of Oliver and Marion (Dobrick) Reimer. He married Nancy J. Meylor on May 22, 1954 in Milwaukee. Jerry was employed at Wisconsin Electric Power Co. in Milwaukee before moving to Wautoma in 1968. He worked at the Rural Electric Association (REA) in Wautoma and later operated Uptown Bar of Wautoma for many years. He was maintenance electrician at Nelson Muffler until his retirement. Following retirement, he was groundskeeper at Waushara Country Club and delivered flowers for Thrasher's Floral. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma. He is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Reimer, Wautoma; four children, Geri Stelmach, Appleton, Carrie Oltesvig, Wautoma, Scott Reimer, Wautoma, Curt Reimer (Wanda Johnson), Wautoma; six grandchildren, Nathan (Amanda) Leigh, Washington, D.C., Clairissa Oltesvig, Minneapolis, MN, Kathleen Oltesvig, Waupun, Rachel Oltesvig, Milwaukee, Zach Reimer, Wautoma, Andrea Reimer (Dan), Wautoma; four great grandchildren, Gabriel, Jayden, Ryleigh, and Makenna. Jerry is further survived by other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, RaeAnn Reimer; stepmother, Nan Reimer, and by his in-laws, John and Margaret Meylor. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma and on Monday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Church.
