Gary Lyle Kloos, age 62 of Neshkoro, died unexpectedly on Friday December 13, 2019 at UW Hospital in Madison. Gary was born in Morris, MN on September 8, 1957 to Howard and Helen (Stevenson) Kloos. After high school, Gary joined the U.S. Air Force, worked as an Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician and was honorably discharged in 1978. He then went to school to become an Avionics Technician. On July 26, 1980, Gary married Desiree DeMartelaere at Kongsvinger Lutheran Church, Donnelly, MN. Gary’s job took the family to Oregon, Bountiful, UT, Provo, UT, where he worked for Rocky Mountain Helicopter, Theresa, WI where he worked for SkyCam in Milwaukee, the couple then moved to Neshkoro where Gary worked for Basler Flight Service in Oshkosh and then at the BP gas station in Neshkoro. Gary was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, hockey, playing baseball and spending time outdoors. He was a member of Krause-Gley-Crane American Legion Post 423. Gary was a “Goofy” guy who loved his family and especially loved being a grandpa. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his children: Christopher Kloos, Janae (fiancée: Jake Schrank) Kloos, Matthew (Stephanie) Kloos, Joshua Kloos; grandchildren: Nickolas, Daniel, Jase, Jemma; brother: Ron (Dee) Kloos; nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife: Desiree Kloos on November 14, 2015.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma from 10AM to 12PM (NOON), with military honors to follow.
