Frank Mata, age 62, of Plainfield, passed away Wednesday evening, Oct. 31, 2012, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, WI. He was born Sept. 7, 1950 in Uvalde, Texas, the son of Encarnacion and Luz (Jimenez) Mata. Frank served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as border patrol officer in Texas before moving to Plainfield. He is survived by four children, Shaine Mata, Stephen Mata, Eric Merritt and Joseph Facundo; 10 grandchildren; seven siblings, Irma (David) Luera, Diane (the late Russell) Kramer, Sylvia (Neal) Tess, Ernie Mata, Robert Mata, Olga Maldonado, Melva (Sergio) Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Val (the late Encarnacion "Joe") Mata. He is further survived by nieces, nephews aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at New Life Assembly of God in Plainfield with the Rev. Howard Kruize officiating. Burial with military honors will be at East Oasis Cemetery, Town of Oasis. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Church.
