Florence Schmieder, age 91, of Wautoma, passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 27, 1918 in Milwaukee, the daughter of William and Helen (LeMay) Wulff. She married Clarence J. Schmieder on March 23, 1960. He preceded her in death by July 12, 1984.
Florence resided in Milwaukee for many years where she worked for A&P Grocery. She moved to Wautoma in 1985. Florence was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Waushara-Wautoma Senior Citizens and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and plastic needlework crafts.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Jim) Huss, Pine River, Carol (Jim) Rakowiecki, West Allis; four grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Huss, Appleton, Theresa (Michael) Mateer, Sigourney, Iowa, Tim (Tammy) Viola, Mukwonago, and Chris Viola, Milwaukee; 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Wayne; two brothers, Earl (Eleanor) Wulff, Oliver (Myrtle) Wulff; one great-grandchild, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma with the Rev. Nathan A. Gauerke officiating. Burial will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Milwaukee.
Visitation will be held at the Church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
