Flora Reid

Flora was born on October 15, 1913 in Plainfield, WI to Allen Benjamin & Effie May (Baldwin) Elliott and passed to eternal rest on February 22, 2013. She was married to Ora Reid on February 20, 1932 in the State of Illinois. They divorced on August 28, 1952 in Waushara Co, WI. Flora was a school teacher for several years. She taught school locally, Union Grove, WI and 10 years in the State of Alaska where she taught in 5 Eskimo villages until her retirement. She enjoyed crafting quilts for family and friends as well as spending time in her flower gardens. Flora is survived by three children, Robert Reid of Huntingdon, TN, Marirose (Don Sr.) Hilpipre of Plainfield, WI and Phil Reid of Wautoma, WI. She is further survived by her deeply loved grandchildren, great Grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, family members in WI, ND, MT, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen & Effie Elliott of Plainfield, WI. Her brothers, Ray (Anna) of Towner, ND, Frank (Gladys), Justin (Ellen), Kirk (Ethelyn) of Plainfield, WI, Carl (Regina) of Great Falls, MT and her sisters Ann (Harris) Botsford of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Belva (Dean Sr.) Gustin of Racine, WI. Flora is further preceded in death by 2 Children, Juanita (Reid) McDowell of Wild Rose, WI, and Dick Reid of Weston, ID, 3 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild, as well by her former husband Ora Reid of Chinook, MT who passed on 25 May 1991. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield with Lois Scott officiating. Inurnment will be at Plainfield Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
