Fern Lois Reinke, age 82, of the Town of Springwater, rural Wild Rose, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Friday, April 1, 2011. She was born November 3, 1928 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Edward and Edna (Nuernberg) Landers. She married Carl H. Reinke on October 1, 1960 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2004. Fern and her late husband resided in Milwaukee for many years before moving to the Town of Springwater in 1974. She was employed as a secretary at the former Wautoma Memorial Community Hospital and then LaClinica in Wild Rose. Fern was an active faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wild Rose. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness and gracious ways. Fern loved nature, where she lived, knitting slippers and baking, she loved her family deeply and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two children, Christine Ann (Jeffery) Reinke-Rick, Friendship, Richard A. (Kelly Kay) Reinke, Hales Corners; Grandchildren, Jennifer Wenzel, Jason (Heather) Wenzel, & the late R. Aaron Reinke two great grandchildren, Hailey and Andrew Wenzel; one sister, Nila Jane (Flay) Smith, Edgar; two sisters-in-law; Elaine (the late Donald) Landers, Grafton, Helen (Lawrence) Timm, California. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wild Rose with Rev. Dale W. Bahls officiating. Visitation will be held at the Church on Friday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of services.
