Eugene Heinz

Eugene “Gene” J. Heinz, age 83, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, August 12, 2018.

He was born August 24, 1934 in West Allis the son of Julius and Amalia (Koelsch) Heinz. He married Joyce D. Minash on September 10, 1960 in Milwaukee.

Gene served his country in the US Army from October 15, 1954 until October 12, 1956. He was employed by Wisconsin Electric in the Milwaukee area for 41 years retiring as Lineman Supervisor. He enjoyed golfing, reading and socializing with his many friends. Gene was a member of Waushara Country Club and St. James Catholic Church in Neshkoro.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Heinz, Wautoma; two daughters, Judi Heinz (Steve Shearer), Eagle, WI and Lori DuPont, Wauwatosa, WI; two grandchildren, Matthew (Monique) DuPont and Amanda DuPont. He is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gregory and Jerome.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Neshkoro with Rev. Dale Grubba officiating. Interment with full military honors will be at St. James Catholic Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
