Erna Wedde

Erna C. Wedde, age 100, of Wautoma, passed away early Sunday morning, Jan. 10, 2016 at Heartland House in Wautoma.
She was born April 5, 1915 at Woodland, WI, the daughter of Gustav and Emma (Schultz) Gerwing. She married Lester E. Gentz in 1936. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1964. She married Clifford E. Langsdorf on Sept. 28, 1968 in West Bend. He passed away on March 13, 1986. She married Wilbert M. Wedde on May 5, 1988 in Wautoma. He died on Sept. 18, 1997.
Erna and her first husband farmed in Dodge County and she also worked at West Bend Co. for many years. She was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma and she belonged to Waushara/Wautoma Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three children, Wayne (Patricia) Gentz, Fairbanks, AK, Karen (the late Edward) Wren, West Bend, and Bruce (Diane) Gentz, Phelan, CA; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grand- children; six great great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Gloria Gentz; and by her special nephew and godchild, Herbert (Esther) Lichtenberg, Milwaukee.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons, Edward and Daniel; sisters, her twin, Emma, Eleanor Schmidt, Ruth Holtz, Selma Lichtenberg, and Lena Pieper.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma with Rev. Roger G. Riedel officiating. Burial will be in Wautoma Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
