Enrico A. “Rick” Bei, age 69, of Wautoma, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at his home.
He was born March 15, 1949 in New York, the son of Anthony and Virginia (Norlin) Bei.
Rick was a graduate of Wautoma High School and Waushara County Normal School. He taught 7th and 8th grade History at Princeton and Brandon. Later, he worked in sales at Mid-State Supply of Wautoma, sold manufactured homes and was an advertising sales representative. He enjoyed mentoring clients at Waushara Industries and served a term as Mayor for the City of Wautoma. Rick belonged to the former Wautoma Jaycees, a member of Waushara County Historical Society, and the Wautoma Library Board. He and his brother operated Batter Up Sports Cards in Wautoma. He loved to golf and was a member of Waushara Country Club. He also enjoyed following the Milwaukee Brewers. Rick was a faithful longtime member of Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma.
He is survived by his siblings, Bradley (Paula) Hottenstine, Wautoma, David (Kris) Bei, DePere, Christiaan (Lisa) Bei, Chippewa Falls, and Mary Bei Posorske, Mount Morris. He is further survived by his aunt, LuVerne Norlin, Wautoma, many special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by one sister, Linda.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma with Rev. P. Michael Thomas officiating. Inurnment will be at Hope Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
