Elmer Burant, age 86, of Neshkoro, passed away Thursday afternoon February 15, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on January 18, 1929 in Milwaukee, the son of John and Tillie (Gavin) Burant. He married Audrey J. Aspenleiter on June 17, 1950 in St. Frances Catholic Church, Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on December 13, 2006.
Elmer worked at Miller Brewing Company in Milwaukee for many years. He was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma where he was involved in the Knights of Columbus. Elmer was a Past President at Waushara Industries and he also enjoyed spending his time at the Wautoma Senior Citizen Center. He dedicated the last eight years of his life to caring for his daughter Pamela and will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Elmer is survived by his seven children, Thomas (Linn) Burant of Elk Horn; Gerald Burant of Milwaukee; Jeffrey (Wendy) Burant, Sr. of New Berlin; Kim Marie (Kim) Conner of Hartford; John (Laura) Burant of Waukesha; Timothy (Sandy) Burant of Germantown and Pamela Burant of Neshkoro; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother and sisters, Ralph (Judith) Burant of Mequon; Dorothy (Alex) Hoeffner of California; Ruthann Melk of West Allis and Lois Burant of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his son James Burant, his sister Diane Burant and brothers Eugene, Leonard and Ervin Burant.
Funeral Services for Mr. Elmer Burant will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma with Rev. David Greskowiak officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Calvary Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Church.
