Elaine ValJean (Visina) Craig

Elaine ValJean Craig, age 93 of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born on July 30, 1928 in Duluth, MN to Casper and Bertha (Lefebvie) Visina. Elaine was happily married to Gordon Craig from October 5, 1946 until his passing on January 31, 1994. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, playing games on her IPad, baking and listening to Elvis. You could always count on her day and night. Elaine enjoyed life to the fullest and loved her Lord. She will be deeply missed by her family who will always cherish her memory.

Elaine is survived by her children: Sharon (Bill) Jurkonie, Linda (Dan) Nelson, Steve (Deb) Craig, Wayne (Sue) Craig, Dale (Julie) Craig, Dawn (Dan) Spaulding; grandchildren: Bill (Sarah) Shepherd, Glen (Michelle) Jurkonie, Annette (Karim) Baraki, Eric (Jessica) Nelson, Amy (Jerry) Stafford, Tony (Jolene) Craig, Barry Craig, Dana Craig, Evan (Kristen) Craig, Ken (Gina) Craig, Aaron (Becky) Craig, Katie Craig, Ashlyn (David) Stickney, Danny (Cassidy) Spaulding; great grandchildren: Jordan, Kiera and Billy Shepherd, Ashley and Ryan Jurkonie, Sophia and Sarah Baraki, Jasmine and Kaden Stafford, Isabelle and Sawyer Craig, Harrison and River Craig, Brecken, Dawson, Joelle Craig, Frost and baby on the way Skibba; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Gordon Craig; twin brother and 7 other siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30PM on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12PM until the time of services at 1:30PM. Elaine will be laid to rest next to her husband at Central Wisconsin’s Veterans Cemetery, King, WI.
