Elaine Dorothy King, 91, of Coloma passed away on January 23, 2017 at Heartland House in Wautoma Wisconsin. She was born August 5, 1925 in New London Wisconsin the daughter of Henry and Luella (Ploetz) Otto.
She married the love of her life, Robert King on January 12, 1946 in Coloma, Wisconsin. They were married 65 wonderful years. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2011.
Elaine was an active, faithful member and organist at Calvary United Methodist Church for over 45 years. She loved singing with her husband, at church, and with barbershop groups. As a piano teacher for over 50 years she taught others the joy of music. Along with her husband they started a restaurant business in Coloma - The Royal Café that they operated for over 33 years.
She was actively involved volunteering in the community and a member of the Coloma Friends of the Library, Country Quilters, Wild Rose Hospital Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Coloma Area Historical Society.
Elaine always had a smile and compassion for others. Her family was always a priority and she took great pride in them and their accomplishments. She especially enjoyed the time being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children: Kenneth (Joan) King of Sheboygan, WI, Ronald (Barbara) King of Eau Claire, WI and Donna (Jerry) Schultz of House Springs, Mo. Eight grandchildren: Chad King (Joshua Larson), Jon (Dena) Cvetan, Todd King, Traci (Daniel) Woldengen, Timothy (Meghan) Schultz, Ronald King II (Kelly), Arienne King, and Andrew (Abigail) King and nine great grandchildren: Jzaban, Hoyt, Styer, Savannah, Annabelle, Harper, Mary August, Emily, and Ronnie III.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents and brother, Franklin.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the Prince of Peace Church in Coloma at 11:00 am. Family and friends may greet the family from 4:00-7:00 pm on Friday January 27th and January 28th from 10:00 until time of service at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coloma. Elaine will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Hillside Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the administration and staff of Heartland House and Hospice Hope for the special care they provided to Elaine.
