Elaine Gutche

Elaine M. Gutche, age 86, of Spring Lake, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Berlin Memorial Hospital. She was born May 28, 1924 in Green Bay, the daughter of Monroe and Dora (Klitzke) Bleick. She married Melvin E. Gutche on Sept. 17, 1947 in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2001. She was a 1942 graduate of East High School in Green Bay. Elaine was employed by Western Union for a number of years. She and her late husband resided in Green Bay for many years before moving to Spring Lake in 1989. She is survived by five children, Doris (Jerry) Hedtke, Brainerd, MN., Sharon (William) Randel, Boulder, CO., Robert Gutche, Spring Lake, Debra (Scott) Doree, Landfall Village, MN., Karen (Jeff) Vall, Woodbury, MN.; six grandchildren, Clinton Peterson, Green Bay, Sarah Vall, Woodbury, MN., Matthew Randel, Boulder, CO., Jennifer Vall, Woodbury, MN., Kathryn and Gregory Randel, both of Boulder, CO.; one great-grandson, Rider Martin, Woodbury, MN.; two brothers, Leroy (Eleanore) Bleick, and Donald Bleick, both of Green Bay. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Peterson; her grandson, Benjamin Randel; parents; one infant brother, Harlan Bleick; and by her stepmother, Leona Labbs. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Rev. Blaine O. Niskanen officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
