Edwin "Red" Chester Schruck, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at home on December 25, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on March 31, 1949, in Wautoma to Harold and Virginia (Blackburn) Schruck. Edwin married Mary Arendt in Nekoosa on August 14, 1971.Red devoted his life to hard work, family, and his passions. Throughout his career, Red worked diligently at the Berlin Foundry in the maintenance department up until an accident where he shifted his focus to the pursuits that brought him joy, including farming, hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
Red is survived by his loving wife: Mary Schruck; three children: Daniel (Rena) Schruck, Michael (Tracy) Schruck, and Brenda (Tim) Schuh; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; sister: Marcella Putzkie; brother: Harold "Butch" Schruck; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren: Nathan and Skylar Schuh; sister: Shirley Leach and brother: Norman Schruck.
Red will be remembered for his warm spirit, dedication to his family, and the passions that filled his life with happiness. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Marion Cemetery, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Tuesday from 12PM until the time of Mass at 1PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated in Edwin's name.
