Earl Kaehn

Earl C. Kaehn, age 84, of Bancroft, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. He was born July 17, 1927 at Birmingham, Michigan the son of Edward and Helen (Whittaker) Kaehn. He married the former Anna Christine Hawkins. She preceded him in death in April 2003. Earl served his country in the Navy during World War II. He was employed at Nekoosa Paper for 40 years until his retirement. He is survived by three children, Michael (Sandy) Kaehn, Bancroft, Paul (Delores) Kaehn, Bancroft, and Dawn (Cecil "Mick") Richtmyre, Bancroft; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and by three brothers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home in Plainfield. Burial with full military honors will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
