Dorothy's life overflowed with love for her family and her church. Her ever-growing circle of family & friends spans a lifetime and she was the best customer of both the post office and phone company as she determinedly kept in touch. Dorothy enjoyed singing, playing the piano, and, especially, dancing with Al. For many years, she enjoyed an active retirement at her winter home in Fairway Village at Largo, Florida where she was a member of VFW Auxiliary Post #9643.
Since 1958, Dorothy was an active member of Zion United Methodist Church of Neshkoro . She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, was a member of the United Methodist Women (UMW), and, in her later years, loved participating in the prayer shawl ministry. The beautiful shawls, afghans and blankets she lovingly made provide a long lasting memory of her warmth and compassion for the many recipients including each child, grandchild and great grandchild.
